The venue for hosting the Lecture Workshop is the Fodele Beach Resort and Conference Center in Fodele, near the city of Heraklion in Crete, Greece (www.fodelebeach.gr). The resort is located 25km west of Heraklion International Airport and 27km from the center of the cosmopolitan city of Heraklion. The resort features a modern, fully equipped Conference Hall with facilities that can cover all the needs of the Workshop. The Conference Hall can accommodate up to 150 delegates seated in a classroom arrangement and it is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual facilities with full technical support. The spacious Conference Hall lobby will host the registration desk and Lecture Workshop secretariat and will also be used for coffee breaks. The poster session will be hosted in a spacious adjacent hall with plenty of natural light as one side of the hall is all windows overlooking the sea.


All event participants, speakers and organizers will stay at the Fodele Beach Resort, located 25km to the west of Heraklion International Airport. Fodele Beach Resort is situated in a unique location of natural beauty with a breathtaking view, on the exquisite sandy beach of Fodele area. The hotel is built in the Renaissance style, with rooms in the form of bungalows set among lush gardens. In March 2017, the hotel concluded a project of extensive renovation of its rooms and communal areas and restaurants. The renovated 412 spacious, air-conditioned rooms (double, twin, junior suite, family suites etc.) have a light contemporary decor, and all are equipped with cable TV and telephone, Flat TV Screen, Electronic safe, Refrigerator and fiber optic WiFi. Residents of the hotel can dine in three restaurants serving Greek and international cuisine. All restaurants have adjoining terraces, so breakfast, lunch and dinner can be taken outside. The hotel has plenty of open spaces and gardens which will promote informal interactions between participants outside the formal lecture sessions.

Accommodation in single or shared occupancy is included in the registration fee. The hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis, which means that all meals, coffee breaks, drinks and snacks are included in the registration fee.
